Memorandum of Understanding

In order to enhance the mutual business relations between Germany and Angola

represented by the President, Dr. Jens Peter Breitengrob and the
Associação Industrial de Angola (AlA), Rua Manuel Fernando Caldeira n. 06, Luanda, Angola
represented by the President, Mr. Jose Severino agree
- to co-operate with the objective of fostering bilateral trade and investment between Germany and Angola;
- to establish direct contacts between interested enterprises in both countries and to identify appropriate partners and thus increase Angolan exports to Germany as well as German exports to Angola;
- to deliver up-to-date information on investment and other projects in each country in order to foster trade and attract long-term investments and thereby trigger economic growth;
- to represent each other in their home country and offer assistance to each other's members if need be.

In order to achieve the aforementioned objectives both sides agree
- to exchange all relevant information on markets, economic development and relevant political issues
- to organise visits of delegations as well as to establish business round-tables to be held regularly in Germany and Angola
- to exchange know-how and experience in structural and organisational issues.
